Trump’s 2024 VP Choice: Who Is JD Vance? Does He Hate Trump? Your Questions Answered Here!

Posted by
July 15th, 2024

President Donald Trump, 2024 presidential candidate for the Republican Party, went to his Truth Social online social media site today to announce his choice for a running mate. JD Vance is an Ohio Senator who came into office in 2023 after his election in 2022.

Born in Middleton, Ohio, Vance served in the Marine Corps in the Iraq War, has a doctorate from Yale, and wrote a best-selling book, ‘Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis,’ that was made into a Netflix film. He worked in a large corporate law firm and was the president of an investment firm owned by billionaire Peter Thiel, according to the Washington Post.

His hero was his Meemaw, a Christian Democrat who owned 19 guns. He credits her for keeping him “on the straight and narrow” with “tough love and discipline” as he grew up in a community full of poverty and drug addiction.

Vance is seen as an up and coming star of the political party, and has recently been an advocate of Trump after voicing heavy criticism of him a few years ago. But after Trump’s announcement, many of his strongest supporters took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice their concerns.

Comparing him to the likes of Mitt Romney and Pence, many Trumpsters fear that Vance will be just “another of the bad choices that the former president has surrounded himself with.” Although the consensus is, “No matter who he chooses, we are still voting for him,” some Conservative voters are worried that Vance could secretly hate Trump. But why do they feel that way?

He Religiously Accused Trump of Being an Idiot

In 2016, JD Vance was quite loud about his disapproval of Donald Trump. In an interview with Charlie Rose, Vance stated, “I am a never Trump guy, I never liked him.” He also stated that he “can’t stomach” the former president, and even posted, “my god, what an idiot,” when referring to Trump in a Tweet that has since been deleted.

In an opinion piece for ‘The Atlantic,’ Vance called Trump “cultural heroin” for America conservatives and went on to say, “He makes some feel better for a bit, but he cannot fix what ails them, and one day they’ll realize it.” Vance also insisted that Trump was “unfit for our nation’s highest office” in an op-ed for the New York Times entitled, ‘Why Trump’s Antiwar Message Resonates With White America.’

In another deleted Tweet, Vance called Trump “reprehensible,” and stated that “God wants better of us.” In yet another, he addressed “fellow Christians,” scolding them for apologizing for Trump. During his bid for his current Senate seat in Ohio, Vance began scrubbing those Tweets from his X account. His degradation of Trump was so vivid that his competition spent millions of dollars on ads featuring Vance’s own words.

An Open Letter Against Vance

In May of 2022, Dr Joel S. Holmes wrote an open letter to “The President We Love: President Trump” about JD Vance. His letter began, “According to conservative political analysts, JD Vance will be Mitt Romney #2. And Vance will be another Liz Cheney.

Just as Romney asked for your endorsement in Utah for senator then betrayed you, JD Vance will do the same. Vance will be a thorn in your side from the moment he is elected ⏤ if he is elected.

Vance is lying about his record. He has always been a “Never Trumper,” and now, suddenly that he needs your endorsement in Ohio, he has an amazing change and supports you and your ideas…”

Accusations of Racism and More Religious Rhetoric

Vance also stated in 2016 that racism played a big part in the support of Trump, although maybe it wasn’t the largest supporter. He accused Trump of being a “moral disaster” who didn’t care about people. And he stated that Trump avoided policy issues by focusing on things like, “the great Mexican wall.

The Ohio Senator also shared his opinion with a radio host that Trump was supported by voters who were middle-class, white, and didn’t have a regular church family – which led to them “falling for” the social acceptance and community at Trump rallies.

Yet this is the man that Trump has chosen as his running mate.

He’s Changed His Tune

Of course, in later posts he doesn’t seem to feel that a border wall is racist and in 2022 stated on his X account, “Accusations of racism are often about silencing dissent. You’re not a racist for wanting an immigration system that protects our citizens. Mock or ignore the people who say otherwise.

In another 2022 post he said, “The charge of “racism” isn’t about compassion for our fellow Americans, it’s about power and control. It’s a rhetorical weapon used to silence the opposition

The Washington Post says that Vance has “closely aligned himself with the former president” in recent years. Calling Vance one of his “most vocal champions,” the article goes on to explain that he showed support for Trump outside of the courthouse in New York during the criminal trials that took place there.

Vance also made many cable television appearances, and was highlighted by Trump’s allies in conservative interviews, and on ‘Meet the Press’ and CNN – quite a change from being highlighted by the left in the years prior. He has become a close friend to Donald Trump Jr, and has become one of the loudest and strongest supporters of the Trump family and candidacy.

Is His 180 Just for the Vice Presidency?

Yet some Trump supporters are skeptical, fearing that Vance simply changed his tune in order to run for Vice President. But the timeline doesn’t seem to match this rhetoric. In 2020, Vance admitted that he regretted his criticism of Trump, and had fully endorsed him by the primary. Vance was also proud to say that he voted for Trump in the 2020 election.

While Vance may have voiced his strong feelings against Trump in 2016, he says that he had begun a change of mind within the next two years. He is 39 years old now, so would have been just 31 in 2016. As one “Twitter” follower points out, “How many times have you changed your mind since you were 31?”

Another MAGA account on X shared, “Anyone who is mad about JD Vance and his trump hitler comments. Let me clear this up. He said years ago he was young when he made those comments and he believed the lying fake news media. Then once he met Trump, he saw was a great man he was and changed his tune. Can’t hold it against him, he was brainwashed like we all were until Trump came along. Give him a chance, he’s MAGA!

He Isn’t Alone In His Change of Mind

And the tale of someone changing their mind about Trump isn’t a rare one. In fact, Bill Ackman, a billionaire manager of hedge funds, posted a Tweet that exclaimed, “I am going to formally endorse @realDonaldTrump. I assure you that I have made this decision carefully, rationally, and by relying on as much empirical data as possible.

In his post he went on to say, “I came to this decision some time ago as many X followers have already understood from my supportive posts of Trump and my criticisms of Biden.” This decision by Ackman is another example of someone who’s followed Trump’s political career for some time and changed their mind about him after watching the former president in action.

And Ackman is not the only billionaire to jump on board the Trump train. In fact, a recent post from Newsweek shares that a number of them have. Of course, we all know that Elon fully endorses him, and so does Stephen Schwarzman, and David Sacks, to name a few. While these men were once just as vehement in their stance against the former president, they have all since changed their minds, much like Vance.

Instead of blindly believing in the politically-motivated rhetoric of his opponents, people are beginning to actually look at Trump’s accomplishments, policies, and determination to make his country a better place for its people. They’ve noted the differences in the little things, such as grocery bills and gas prices. For some, it is a good sign that the desire to base decisions on reality instead of media-induced rumor is spreading.

For example, in a place where it was once a scary thing to support Donald Trump; where professional athletes were shunned, and people were banned in some businesses and from American schools, one Twitter post shared on July 14th, “People just casually walking around SF with Trump hats. Something has changed” and another shared the day before, “Time to wear my MAGA hat in my city, San Francisco. DONE. IT’S ON.”

Even states like California and New York are seeing changes in attitudes towards Trump as people are waking up to the media-fueled “hate” sometimes known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Although, as Madison Cawthorn points out, “the left has called for violence against Donald Trump and the Republicans for YEARS,” many are beginning to see it for what it is: hate and division.

As some of us have insisted all along, “We don’t hate each other as much as they try to tell us we do.” And now, the hyped-up hate is fading as people take a second look at a man who continues to stand despite arrests, court cases, media attacks, threats. A man who even stood tall with his fist in the air after being shot.

Vance Could Be Exactly What Trump (and America) Needs

So, it should come as no surprise that Trump chose as his running mate a man who’d been through this change himself. Vance will be relatable to those who have found themselves hating Trump with no clear reason why. He makes it clear that it is okay to change your mind and go against what you’ve been told in favor of what you see as best for your country.

As Shawn Farash shared on his X account,

I know that some have reservations about JD Vance’s comments from the past about Donald Trump.

To those of you, I ask respectfully this:

If someone cannot change their mind, especially for the better, what exactly are we arguing about? Vance’s more RECENT actions as an elected official would demonstrate that he has been sincere.

Shouldn’t we look at this as a positive, and not a negative?

Other Tweets include:

My BF a USMC vet, voted for Obama, believed all the MM BS, before 2016 he had time for his own research, became a HUGE trump supporter.  Vance has been on a path that many Americans have. If Trump trusts him then so do I.

I think it will actually help him too because he said what all these left Extremis people are saying about him now. He said all those things in 2016 when the mainstream media was violently attacking Trump because he was running against Hillary Clinton and messing up the NWO.”

As others point out, if you trust Donald Trump enough to vote him in as the president of the free world, shouldn’t we trust him enough to choose his own vice president? Surely we believe that he has thoroughly vetted, interviewed, and studied Vance and perhaps sees the same thing that we are saying here: he might be just what America needs to understand that it is okay to change our minds and support what we really need instead of what they tell us to.

Vance is known as an amazing fundraiser. He has made it clear that he supports Israel and is against sending any more weapons to Ukraine when we are struggling to supply our own. He stands firm against abortion and for values that will support the American family. He has no problem speaking his mind – even if he knows his audience won’t agree with him. He is a rock star when it comes to addressing the mainstream media.

And, perhaps most importantly, Biden doesn’t seem to like him at all. His X account was already sharing attack ads on Vance for fundraising just minutes after Trump’s announcement. One replied, “It took you longer to respond to the attempted assassination of Trump than to respond to his VP pick. Disgraceful and shameful.”

Another said, “Already back to that hateful rhetoric. That didn’t take long.

And yet another pointed out, “Here’s the deal… everything that comes out of your mouth is a lie. Taxes were lowered under Trump. You’re wanting a capital gains tax. Which will hurt Americans. Your time is running out. Trump/Vance will save America.

Just knowing Biden is against him could be enough for some, but Biden isn’t the only one. Tucker Carlson shared that, “Every bad person I’ve ever met in a lifetime in Washington was aligned against JD Vance.Mitt Romney said, “I don’t know that I can disrespect someone more than J. D. Vance.”

That’s enough to make it clear that Vance’s change of mind about Trump, and his determination to bring about a better country, is most likely sincere…when those are the types of people who hate him.

And he is a man who isn’t too proud to admit when he is wrong, and take steps to fix it. A post in The New York Times calls Vance’s transformationone of the most striking political stories of the Trump era, and one that’s likely to influence Republican politics even after Trump is gone.” And isn’t that the goal? To make positive changes that will ring throughout history and bring a better world to those who follow in our footsteps?

Trump Assassination Attempt Leaves Many Injured, Two Dead At Pennsylvania Rally

Posted by
July 13th, 2024

Just minutes after his speech began, President Donald Trump was interrupted by the sound of gunfire at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The Secret Service was seen rushing to his aide before the shocked crowd could even process what was happening.

The shots rang out mere seconds after Trump mentioned that the “worst president in the history of our country took over,” and added, “and look what happened to our country!” He could be seen raising his hand to his ear, and was quickly pushed down behind the podium as the Secret Service agents covered him with their own bodies.

Soon after, the screams of the crowd could be heard as people began to understand that a shooting had taken place, and that many of them had possibly been injured. Voices could be heard saying, “Shooter is down, are we clear to move?” and another answers, “We’re clear!” Then, “Let’s move!”

Then Trump, surrounded by Secret Service and armed men, raised and pumped his fist and the crowd went wild, loudly cheering, “USA! USA! USA!,” as he was quickly whisked away. He was taken to a medical facility to be checked, reportedly with blood on his face.

The former president assured everyone that he is “fine,” despite some reports that he had been hit in the head, and others that he was shot in the ear.

Sadly, some of his followers were hit, and one of the crowd members, a former fire chief and father, Corey Comperatore was killed protecting his wife and daughters.

The nephew of Rep Ronny Jackson (R-TX) was also shot during the assassination attempt.

The gunman has also been killed, according to the Guardian. The shooter has been identified as 20 year old Thomas Matthew Crooks. He lived just 40 miles from the rally in Bethel Park. The shooting is being investigated as an attempt to assassinate the 45th president and current presidential candidate.

There are, however, serious questions surrounding this entire event. In a video on X is an eye-witness who claims to have seen a man with a rifle climbing on top of a building just a few hundred feet from where Trump was speaking. He says that he tried to report it to police and Secret Service, but was ignored.

Others on Twitter raise valid questions as well, such as why nearby rooftops had not been cleared and guarded by the Secret Service, and why the shooter wasn’t discovered by drone or even binoculars. For many, it seems suspicious that a shooter could get anywhere close to the former president and endanger him and the crowd attending his rally.

Along with their suspicions, Trump supporters and others quickly went to X, formerly known as Twitter, to show their support. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp shared, “We are all praying for former President Trump, his family, and everyone at the Pennsylvania rally.”

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu stated, “Violence of any form has no place in America. Glad to hear that President Trump is doing well and wish him the best in a speedy recovery.”

Elon Musk tweeted out, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”

As do we, Sirs, As do we.

Cyber Attack, Election Interference, Or Coincidence? Super Tuesday Facebook Meta Outage

Posted by
March 5th, 2024

(X / Twitter Did Not Fall)

The outage on Super Tuesday affected several Meta-owned platforms, including Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram, disrupting user access on a global scale. This unexpected disruption coincided with the critical Super Tuesday presidential primaries, leading to concerns about the timing and potential implications for election interference. Meta’s spokesperson acknowledged the issue and assured users that efforts were underway to resolve the outage promptly.

In addition to the widespread impact on users, the outage also had financial repercussions, with stock markets reflecting the outage’s influence. Companies like Facebook, Coinbase, and Instagram experienced a decline in their stock prices due to the service disruptions. The outage highlighted the interconnectedness of digital platforms with financial markets, underscoring the significance of stable online services for both users and investors.

Reports of the outage were not limited to a specific region but were widespread across Europe, Asia, and the US, impacting a significant number of users in different parts of the world. Users encountered login problems and were unable to access their accounts on Facebook and Instagram during the outage, leading to frustration and concerns about the reliability of these popular social media platforms.

Meta’s communications director, Andy Stone, acknowledged the issues and reassured users that the company was actively working to address and resolve the disruptions to restore normal service as soon as possible, [4].

Reasons for Outage

Meta’s top social apps, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, suffered a widespread outage that resulted in error messages and login difficulties for users. The outage, which coincided with the critical Super Tuesday presidential primaries, sparked concerns about its timing and potential implications for election interference. Users worldwide were left unable to access their accounts, leading to frustration and speculation about the underlying causes of the disruption.

The outage on Super Tuesday not only affected user access to Facebook and Instagram but also disrupted essential services like the Meta Admin Center, Facebook login, WhatsApp Business API, and Marketing API. This extensive disruption across multiple platforms within the Meta ecosystem highlighted the complex interdependencies of these services, underscoring the challenges faced by the tech giant in resolving the outage promptly.

For instance, many businesses relying on WhatsApp for customer communication found themselves at a standstill, unable to interact with their clients during the outage, impacting their operations and customer service. Political Facebook ads and pages were unattainable during the outage, as well as business pages, etc.

Regional And Financial Impact of the Outage

The outage on Super Tuesday had far-reaching effects, with reports of disruptions pouring in from various regions, including Europe, Asia, and the US. Users encountered difficulties logging into their accounts and accessing Facebook and Instagram, impacting their ability to connect with friends, family, and communities. Users reported being logged out of their accounts and facing challenges in regaining access during the outage, leading to frustration and concerns about the reliability of these platforms during critical times.

The outage didn’t just affect users but also reverberated in the financial realm, with the stock market witnessing declines for tech giants like Facebook, Instagram, and Coinbase. The outage’s timing during the Super Tuesday presidential primaries heightened the significance of the situation, prompting questions about the potential economic repercussions and long-term implications for Meta’s market performance.

Despite the challenges, Meta’s communications director, Andy Stone, provided updates on the ongoing efforts to rectify the issues and restore normalcy to the affected platforms, emphasizing the company’s commitment to addressing user concerns and ensuring platform stability.

User Reactions and Social Media Trends

During the outage of Meta-owned platforms on Super Tuesday, frustrated users took to alternative social media platforms like Twitter X to express their concerns and experiences. The hashtag #facebookdown trended globally as users shared their struggles with being unexpectedly logged out of their accounts.

The outage prompted a wave of reactions from various users, including Elon Musk. Musk humorously acknowledged the situation with a meme, indicating the widespread impact of the outage on a diverse range of users and industries. Many Twitter/X users pointed out that while all other sites went down, this one stayed up. Many users found this suspicious.

Concerns About Election Interference and Voter Outreach

The outage on Super Tuesday not only impacted user access to Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta apps but also raised significant concerns about potential disruptions to voter outreach efforts during the critical primary elections. With the outage affecting social media platforms crucial for political campaigns’ communication strategies, questions arose regarding the impact on voter engagement and information dissemination. Campaigns heavily rely on these platforms to connect with voters, share their messages, and mobilize supporters, making any downtime a significant hurdle to these efforts.

The outage shed light on the vulnerability of social media platforms to external interference during crucial moments like elections. The timing of the outage occurring on an important election-related day heightened suspicions about potential deliberate disruptions aimed at influencing voter behaviors or election outcomes.

Overall, this outage emphasizes the need for better contingency plans and heightened cybersecurity measures to safeguard the integrity of democratic processes against unforeseen disruptions. The outage not only disrupted user experiences but also sparked discussions about the broader implications of relying heavily on digital platforms for political communication and engagement.

Meta’s Response and Ongoing Efforts

In response to the widespread outage affecting Meta-owned platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, Meta’s spokesperson, Andy Stone, assured users that the company was actively working on addressing the technical issues. Despite the reassurances, the lack of a clear timeline for resolving the outages left users and stakeholders in a state of uncertainty, highlighting the importance of prompt and transparent communication during such incidents. The ongoing efforts to restore full functionality to the affected services were crucial to maintaining user trust and engagement with Meta’s platforms.

The outage history of Meta, including previous significant disruptions, added to the concerns surrounding the Super Tuesday outage. Users and industry experts scrutinized Meta’s response to the outage, emphasizing the need for a more resilient infrastructure to prevent such widespread issues in the future. The impact of the outage on Meta’s reputation and its implications for user experience and platform reliability were key topics of discussion as the company worked towards resolving the technical challenges and restoring normal service.

Was it a cyber attack, election interference, or coincidence? You decide.

Supreme Court Determines States Cannot Remove Trump From Ballots

Posted by
March 4th, 2024

The Supreme Court has ruled unanimously that the states cannot remove Trump from their ballots over J6 accusations, impacting his eligibility for the 2024 presidential election. This decision sets a precedence that will be felt throughout future elections.

Trump’s Ballot Battle: Inside the Supreme Court’s Landmark Decision

The Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump cannot be removed from the 2024 presidential ballots by states, stating that only Congress has the authority to disqualify a candidate under the Constitution’s “insurrection clause”. This decision has significant implications for Trump’s eligibility for the upcoming election and sets a precedent for future challenges to candidates’ qualifications. The unanimous nature of the ruling underscores the clarity and strength of the Court’s position on this matter.

The key legal principles that influenced the Supreme Court’s decision revolved around the interpretation of the 14th Amendment’s Section 3, which prohibits insurrectionists from holding office. By emphasizing that only Congress can enact disqualification under this clause, the Court reaffirmed the federal government’s authority in such matters. This ruling not only impacts Trump’s candidacy but also shapes the landscape of state-level challenges to candidates in federal elections.

This decision could basically punt the issue back to Congress, since the Supreme Court did not give a decision on whether or not Trump was guilty of insurrection. This is a key point for many who worry over the dangerous precedent that would be set by removing a presidential candidate from a ballot based on accusations for which they have not been convicted.

Background and Context Of The Supreme Court Decision

The events leading to the Supreme Court ruling were rooted in Trump’s alleged involvement in the January 6 insurrection, where he was accused of inciting violence at the Capitol. The insurrection clause in the Constitution, particularly Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, played a central role in the case, as it prohibits individuals who engaged in insurrection from holding office.

Various states, including Colorado, brought forth challenges to Trump’s candidacy based on this provision, leading to conflicting rulings at the state and federal levels. However, no court has ever convicted Trump of those accusations, and allowing states to remove a candidate in these circumstances could lead to future candidates from both parties being removed over political mudslinging.

While the Colorado Supreme Court initially ruled to bar Trump from the state’s primary ballot, the US Supreme Court overturned this decision, emphasizing the exclusive authority of Congress in matters of disqualification under the insurrection clause. The legal arguments presented during the case highlighted the complexities of balancing state and federal powers in regulating presidential elections, especially concerning allegations of insurrection.

Supreme Court’s Legal Analysis: It’s Up To Congress

In its legal analysis, the Supreme Court delved into the interpretation of the 14th Amendment’s Section 3 and its application to presidential candidacy disqualification. The Court’s reasoning centered on the separation of powers, clarifying that state courts do not have the jurisdiction to enforce federal disqualification provisions. By aligning its decision with past electoral rulings, the Supreme Court reaffirmed the precedence of federal law in matters of national significance, such as presidential elections.

The ruling’s long-term effects on the electoral process are considerable, as it establishes a clear boundary between state and federal authority in regulating candidacy qualifications. By emphasizing that only Congress can disqualify a presidential candidate under the insurrection clause, the Court’s decision sets a precedent for future cases and reinforces the constitutional framework governing federal elections.

Ramifications on State-Level Challenges

The Supreme Court’s ruling has far-reaching implications for ongoing and future state-level challenges to candidates’ eligibility, particularly in cases involving insurrection allegations. The decision not only impacts Trump’s candidacy but also guides how states approach disqualification issues for federal offices.

States involved in challenging Trump’s qualification, such as Colorado, are now bound by the Supreme Court’s ruling, which clarifies that states cannot unilaterally disqualify candidates based on federal provisions like the insurrection clause. The precedents set by this decision will likely influence state-level election laws and regulations, ensuring a more consistent application of federal standards in candidate vetting processes.

Constitutional Implications and Legal Precedents

The case surrounding Trump’s ballot eligibility raised important constitutional considerations, particularly concerning the scope of the 14th Amendment’s insurrection provision and its applicability to presidential candidates. The arguments presented in the case underscored the complexities of interpreting this constitutional clause in the context of modern political challenges.

By rejecting the use of the 14th Amendment to keep Trump off the ballot, the Supreme Court clarified the boundaries of state authority in regulating federal elections. This decision not only resolves immediate disputes but also sets a legal precedent for future interpretations of the Constitution, especially regarding insurrection allegations and their impact on presidential candidacies.

Key Takeaways and Future Outlook

In summary, the Supreme Court’s ruling regarding Trump’s eligibility for the 2024 election ballots reaffirms the federal government’s exclusive authority in matters of candidate disqualification under the insurrection clause. This decision carries significant implications for the upcoming election landscape and underscores the importance of a consistent legal framework for regulating federal elections.

The case serves as a defining moment in clarifying the boundaries of states’ authority in regulating federal elections, ensuring that challenges to candidates’ qualifications adhere to established constitutional principles. Moving forward, the ruling is likely to shape future legal developments and challenges in the electoral process, setting a clear precedent for how insurrection allegations are addressed at the federal level.

Israel: Firsthand Citizen Viewpoint VS Mainstream Media Headlines

Posted by
October 13th, 2023

Headlines straight from the mainstream media tell of frightened Palestinians being driven from their homes, and innocent people being massacred in Gaza, but Israeli citizens have a different viewpoint of the events that are happening. One friend shared her confusion with me after seeing the headlines and hearing the stories coming out of Israel. “I’m confused,” she said, “they say they are being slaughtered.”

I explained it to her in this way, “Hamas is a terrorist organization and they’ve bedded down just like terrorists do in other countries. It’s impossible to get them out without anyone being harmed…and if Israel doesn’t do everything they have to do to get rid of them, they’ll end up being just another “occupied country,” where terrorists roam the streets.”

What I probably didn’t explain well is Israel’s determination to survive. This little county has withstood wars, terrorists, and worse because they will absolutely do whatever it takes to protect themselves. It would seem that they understand that there are some fates that are worse than death, and for them, being “occupied” and losing their freedom is one such fate.

I have followed one Israeli citizen on Facebook for several years. Her page is usually full of joy and happiness as she shares video of the beauty of her country. Lately, of course, her postings have been more somber.

She showed images of her 7-year-old son as he asked if Siri would know when the next barrage may come. Imagine having to explain such to your baby. Americans really don’t know how good we have it as the Apple of God’s eye is under attack.

Israeli children have been kidnapped and are being held in Gaza. When Israeli citizens try to leave the area, Hamas forces them back. These terrorists are using innocent citizens and their children as shields.

Yes, they know that Israel will do everything that it takes to wipe the terrorism out, and these shields become fodder for the mainstream media to use to paint Israeli Defense Forces as the monsters instead of the heroes that they are.

In the words of Jael Eckstein,

“Israel knows that the top terrorists are hiding in tunnels underneath Gaza City; below huge residential buildings, schools, mosques, and UN shelters, where they are using their very own people as human shields.

Israel will kill those terrorists. But we don’t want to kill the innocent. That’s why (the) Israeli army told civilians to evacuate Gaza City and head south.

But guess what. Hamas isn’t letting them.

Anyone who Hamas sees leaving, is (being forced) to go back home.

This is the epitome of evil. They know that at this point, israel will do anything to kill the terrorists who are threatening our survival.

And they’re ready to have their own people die and be human shields, just to make Israel look bad.

‘I place before you life and death; choose life.’

Don’t be fooled. In this conflict, it’s very easy to distinguish the side which stands for life…and the side that stands for death.”

It’s NOT A Barbie World (And I’m Not A Barbie Girl)

Posted by
July 27th, 2023

I think more women need to “speak our truth” as society loves to say. So, here I go. I know I’m not alone. ⬇️
I’ve seen a lot of “explanations” about the Barbie movie. Since I have many followers who aren’t necessarily Christian, I am going to break down my thoughts on those reviews, both with and without a strictly Christian lens.
I haven’t watched Barbie. Bubblegum silliness isn’t my thing, no matter what it’s pushing. I’ve read reviews from both sides. For those who don’t see an underlying message, it may be just cutsie cartoonish entertainment. Although it might mean that you’re missing an agenda being pushed at you, I don’t really have a response to those who see the film that way. I wont tell you what to like… hopefully that’s reciprocated.
For those who do see an underlying agenda, society tries to explain away the message behind this movie by saying that it’s simply showing that Ken and men are oppressed in their world as a mirror image of how women are oppressed here.
They use the movie as a platform to try and “change the world” by forcing men into beta roles and deceiving women into insisting that we be “equal.” Yet they can’t see that “being equal” has led to true biological women having to compete with biological men in every aspect of life, from the corporate office to the Olympics, and even beauty pageants…
Women haven’t only been convinced that they needed equality, they’ve been tricked into demanding that they be treated just like men. Reality has been warped so awkwardly that I’m certain it can never be untwisted without having already been stretched into uselessness.
Men had all of the responsibility. They had to work, worry, pray, and decide for the whole family. And women were convinced that they should be silent, oppressed, and totally dependent. Yes, there WAS a patriarchal society, but even that was a twisted version of what God wanted, or nature intended.
Men were tricked then just like women are now. They were made to believe that they had to do it all, decide it all, choose it all, be responsible for it all.
(But from a Christian viewpoint, that isn’t what Proverbs teaches me about women. The Proverbs woman bought land, made decisions, took care of her family. It wasn’t all on her husband to do. She was the HELPMATE that she was created to be. Somewhere down the line that was twisted until society told women they couldn’t vote, couldn’t buy land, couldn’t decide, and couldn’t function without a man’s permission…and they claimed that this was Biblical.)
Society forced men into a dominant, controlling, and often abusive role. And then society tricked women into wanting to be that twisted version of man.
Now here we are; we have women demanding their right to be just like men and men being told that they should be more like women… and kids who have no idea which gender they are. And society is back again, this time with a Barbie movie, to tell me which role I should take as a woman.
Not everyone will look at this from a Proverbs or Christian point of view, so I will respond like this; I’m just sick of women being told how oppressed we are, how we aren’t allowed to go after what we want… and then the same people who are claiming this will try to decide for me what I am allowed to want. In one breath, you insist that I shouldn’t be told what to do and in the next you’re demanding what I should think and feel.
If a liberal woman really wants a beta male, good for you, go find one. If you wanna be the single alpha female, more power to ya. But don’t try to change the entire world to fit your preferences. Don’t try to make all men fit into your little mold of what you want men to be, and don’t try to force me to be what you are.
I’m perfectly happy over here being the woman I was created to be. I am quite content allowing my husband to lead our home. I am loved, respected, and cherished. The issue isn’t that men are alphas…it’s that those alphas weren’t taught to love, respect, or protect women. (And yet Christianity teaches men to love their wives as Christ loves His church.)
This isn’t a patriarchal society… it’s a society who first taught men that they had to be cold, indifferent, and nonfeeling and then insisted that they be punished for it. And yes, there were some men who became abusive, and no, there is no excuse for it. But now women are taking on that abusive, controlling demeanor, also.
So speak for yourself. Many women are perfectly happy in our “traditional roles.” We can see how horrible things have become since men and women were both pushed out of their natural roles. We understand that not all men become abusive jerks when you allow them to lead. We thrive on being our naturally submissive and nurturing selves with a man who also thrives in his natural role as protector and leader. Don’t tell us what we are allowed to want or who we are allowed to be.
You don’t speak for us.

GA’s New Election Laws: Prohibit Private Election Donations and Give Mandatory Time Off to Vote

Georgia’s New Election Laws

On Thursday, with the deadline quickly approaching, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed off on over 250 bills, adding several new election laws to the state. Included in those new laws are limits on how election donations can be made and mandatory time off for Georgians to vote in person.

Georgia’s Senate Bill 222 was strongly supported by Republican Senator Max Burns, who explains that it will close a loophole which allowed Democratic counties to receive millions of elections dollars during the 2020 election term.

Under the new law, it is a felony for the governments of any Georgia county to receive funds for election costs from a private organization…and that now includes nonprofits.

It is no secret that the CEO of Meta (Facebook) donated over $400 million to Democratic election offices all over the United Stated during the 2020 election, including $45 million in Georgia. Those donations were made by Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, through their non-profit, Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), and leaned heavily to those counties that vote Democrat.

In fact, blue counties received four times as much in Zuckerberg-funded donations and grants as red counties. However, there are allegations that even the funding for Republicans was more likely to be given to those who did not favor Trump. According to a lawsuit by Greater Georgia, $5.6 million of those Georgia funds were made directly to the office of Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican and known opposer of the 45th president.

Although the funds were labeled as “election safety” due to the pandemic, very little of the money went towards PPE for virus protection, which led many voters to question where that cash ended up. According to Foundation for Government Accountability CEO Tarren Bragdon, “The Zuckerberg Funding is an unprecedented example of using government employees and government resources to put your finger on the scale, to affect election outcome.”

Former election official, Hans von Spakovsky agrees. He called Zuckerberg’s donations a “carefully orchestrated attempt” to influence the 2020 election and added that it “violated fundamental principles of equal treatment of voters, since it may have led to unequal opportunities to vote in different areas of a state.”

Now, with Kemp’s signature on Senate Bill 222, not only will such practices be a violation of principles, but they will also be a felony in the state. Georgia is the 24th state to sign similar bills into law since the 2020 election. As Spakovsky stated in 2021, “All states should ban private funding of government election offices, no matter the source.”

As Senator Burns explains, “This measure is an important and necessary step in guaranteeing our elections are not subject to interference from third-party organizations. It is vital that all funding for elections is properly allocated from the state level to limit the possibility that our state and local election workers are influenced by organizations that operate on their own self-interest.”

Kemp also signed into law a bill that will allow Georgia voters to take time off from work to vote in person during the election season. Many of the Georgia voters who stood in favor of mail-in voting claimed that they could not make it to in-person voting due to their work schedules.

That issue is now resolved with the new law, which will give voters a two-hour window to vote in person. Georgia businesses will be required to allow their employees the time off, either during early voting periods, or on Election Day. Republican Senator Rick Williams of Milledgeville supported this bill and stated that it would, “further empower Georgians to participate in one of the most important civic duties.”

Many Georgians, as well as citizens of other states, had become jaded on the election process after the results of the 2020 election. Some expressed doubt in whether or not their vote counts, as they watched millions of dollars pour in to one side to unbalance the results.

While those Georgia voters are still expressing frustration in the fact that the same voting machines are being used, these new laws could be a small step in the right direction to restoring some faith in the voting system and allowing voters the time off that they need to make it to the polls. While voters feel the election process still has a long way to go, these moves are a good beginning.

Beware of Temu: The Price You Pay for Cheap Stuff

Posted by
May 4th, 2023

I found the Temu App by accident some time around Thanksgiving of 2022. It featured a large variety of low-cost merchandise, much like I have seen advertised for Shein, Wish, and other online sites.

As I browsed, I realized that there were a lot of things that interested me: a few lightbulbs, tons of Christmas decorations, house shoes, blankets, rugs, clothes and more. I compared it to an online Ollie’s.

I was wary, however, since I had heard horror stories about items that friends had ordered from those other online bargain shops. I decided to investigate it a bit and at least find out where it was located.

A quick search told me that the shop was based in Massachusetts, and I thought, “Ah. It’s American. Cool!”

Located in America Doesn’t Mean American Made

Although I should have realized it at the time, it didn’t really occur to me until later that just because a company is based in America doesn’t mean that its products are American-Made. In fact, there are companies that claim the “American-Made” status on their products when they are actually produced in other countries.

How do they get away with this? Well, the parts to make the products, such as parts to make a car, are manufactured in a country such as China or Mexico, and then those parts are shipped to America to be put together. Technically, these companies should have the status “American-Assembled” and not “American-Made,” but I digress.

As far as Temu is concerned, while their company is based out of Massachusetts, their products are not made or assembled in America. They are owned by PDD Holdings Inc., which is located in…you guessed it…Shanghai, China.

That’s why their stuff can sometimes take up to two weeks to ship to you. It’s not coming from Massachusetts. As USA Today points out, Temu products are shipping all the way from China.

What’s Really being Sold? YOU

Some readers may be thinking the same way that I used to think: what difference does it really make where the items come from if I am happy with them? Well, as far as the products are concerned, if you are willing to wait a bit to get them, it really doesn’t seem to matter much, especially since you can get them much cheaper than some American-made products.

But what are you actually paying? What is the actual cost to Temu Customers and what are these businesses actually selling? Apps such as Temu and companies such as PDD Holdings aren’t just making their money from your purchases.

Just like Facebook and other social media apps, these shopping apps are making their fortunes by collecting and selling your information. The real product being sold here isn’t that $3 pair of bedroom shoes that you bought for Aunt Midge’s birthday. The true seller isn’t Temu.

The true seller and product are both YOU.

Chinese Firms are LEGALLY REQUIRED to Steal Your Data

Here is where it gets scary; in China, business owners legally have no choice as to whether they give your information to Communist China. Maybe you, like me, have tried to convince yourself, “Ah, sure these Chinese apps could sell my information, but they probably aren’t.”

“They wouldn’t sell my information and risk losing customers… They’re just trying to sell cheap products, right?”

Wrong.

In late December, an advisory was sent out from the Department of Homeland Security that warned American business owners what the actual price is of doing business with any data services or equipment from firms that have any ties to the People’s Republic of China.

It was noted not only to be a major threat to American citizens, but to the data security of the US government as well.

Newly enacted law in China compels any citizen of their country as well as any Chinese business to “support and facilitate” Communist China’s government access to the “collection, transmission, and storage of data.”

That means your data, my data, and even our government’s data. These companies can be required to store your data inside of the borders of China and allow their government access to it or face criminal prosecution.

Now you tell me, do you think they are going to risk an arrest in Communist China just to “do the right thing” and not sell your information?

What It Really Costs You: Info Temu Collects From Your Phone

Okay, so it is obvious that your information really is being sold to Communist China, but does it really matter? So, they know that you bought bedroom shoes, that’s all they can learn from me using apps such as TicToc or Temu, right?

Wrong again.

Among other bits of information, the Temu app collects your name, your address, and your phone number. So that’s who your are, where you live, and which phone you use (which can make it easier to locate you.)

It also collects other information that you enter into apps, such as your birthday, pictures of you, and your social media profiles that you connect to the app. Now it has every bit of information that you’ve given to Facebook, Twitter, etc., perhaps even the parts that you chose to “keep private.”

The apps also learn which operating system that your phone uses, and which version of it you currently have. Your IP address, and even your GPS location is given to apps such as Temu, which gives Communist China exact location information on you every second of every day that you have that phone, or any device that has a version of Google Maps, etc.

Your browsing data is also included in the information collected by these apps. Everything that you’ve looked up. People with this information don’t only know what you’re shopping for, they know which restaurants you’ve searched for, what types of health issues that you’ve “Googled,” addresses, school schedules, church locations…

What else do you search for online? Your light company website? Internet provider site? What about your online banking?

And now they’re luring in even more people with their “free games.” Seems that we still need to learn that nothing is ever “free.”

Third-party information is also given to the Chinese government by these companies. Public records, data brokers, marketing partners, credit bureaus, etc. are all required by these Chinese laws to share your information.

What does this mean for me? Well, it definitely means that I will research apps, social media sites, and online shopping stores a bit more thoroughly in the future. It seems those $2 light bulbs were quite expensive.
